Labor pains, epidural, two hours of pushing, and fourteen hours later, Dr. Shull made an executive decision that I needed a C-section. I was kinda glad after two hours of pushing. Allan watched the whole thing. After an hour or so, he presented our baby girl to the whole family. He headed to the nursery with the nurse and she told him she felt like a celebrity. There were many cameras waiting at the doors!! Allan introduced Gabrielle Ruth Tonkin to her family.

The Big Day!

On November 13, 2008, Allan and I headed to Parkridge East Hospital to embark on a new adventure. We arrived at 5:00 am, not knowing what to expect. As I prepared for the day, hook-ups, blood drawn, etc., our family members started to trickle in. Grandmother Patsy took pictures of everything!!! When I say everything, I mean everything, even the clock in the delivery room!!

3-D Ultrasound-September 2008

This was our first look at Baby Girl Tonkin. She looks so sweet. It took the technician some time to get this picture. Her hands were hiding her face. Even now, when Gabby sleeps, she has to have both hands on her face. This experience was simply amazing.
